    PT. Arpeni Pratama Ocean Line (Arpeni) was established.

  • May, 1976
    Arpeni opened its first domestic branch office in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.

  • March, 1977
    Arpeni began operating its first logging vessel, the log carrier MV. Apollo I (4,800 DWT).

  • 1989
    Arpeni began operating its 1 LPG tanker on a time charter arrangement to the state oil company, Pertamina.

  • September, 1991
    Arpeni was awarded its first long term time charter contract by PERTAMINA. To facilitate Arpeni operated its crude oil tanker MT. Durgandini (35,831 DWT).

  • September, 1996
    Arpeni was awarded a contract of afreightment from PT. Bukit Asam for the transportation of 36 million tons of bulk coal.

    Arpeni was simultaneously awarded the ISM Code and ISO 9002 Certification from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

  • April, 2000
    Arpeni won a contract of affreightment from PT. Adaro Indonesia and PT. Kideco Jaya Agung for 8,3 million tons for 3.5 years.

  • August, 2002
    Arpeni made second contracts of affreighment with PT.Adaro Indonesia and PT.Kideco Jaya Agung for 3 million tonnes of coal for 3 years and 6.5 million tonnes for 4 years respectively; and another contract with PT.Berau Coal for 3.5 million tonnes for 3 years.

    Obligasi Arpeni Pratama Ocean Line I Tahun 2003 was listed at the Surabaya Stock Exchange.

    Arpeni's ISO 9002 Certification was transitioned to ISO 9001 Certification accredited by ABS. Certificate ISO 9001

  • June, 2005
    On June 22, 2005, PT Arpeni Pratama Ocean Line Tbk listed its shares at the Jakarta Stock Exchange. 500 million shares or 33.3 percent of the company's enlarged capital were offered through public offering. Each share bears a par value of Rp 500 with an offer price of Rp 625 per share.

    Awarded as 2005 Model Shipping Company in Indonesia.

  • May, 2006
    International Notes were issued, B+ rating from S&P & BB- from Fitch.

  • April, 2007
    Setting up a Joint Venture Company with Hyundai Merchant Marine.

  • January, 2008
    Awarded a contract of Coal Shipping and Jetty Management Services for Tanjung Jati B Coal Fired Power Plant for period 15 years at the contract price Rp 3.08 trillion.

  • March, 2008
    Issuing IDR Bond APOL II, amounted Rp 600 billion.

  • June, 2008
    Issuing MTN Syariah Ijarah APOL II, amounted Rp 150 billion.

  • July, 2008
    Awarded the Bisnis Indonesia Award as the Best Company in Infrastructure, Utility and Transportation Sector.

  • November, 2008
    Arpeni received the Indonesian Financial Reporting Award as the best company in transportation industry sector.
